2026 Cross System Partner Trainings
New Hampshire Early Childhood Trauma Trainings
(Project NETT)
Project Funded by: FY22 Infant and Early Childhood Program. DHHS. SAMHSA. Center for Mental Health Services (1H79SM086447-01)
The aim of Project NETT is to improve outcomes for children (birth to six years) diagnosed with (or at significant risk of developing) a serious emotional disturbance (SED), including children with a history of in-utero exposure to substances that may impact development, and those from marginalized communities. Project NETT will develop, maintain, and enhance infant and early childhood mental health intervention and treatment services.
Early Childhood Trauma Training
Early childhood exposure to adversity and interpersonal trauma occurs far more frequently than is understood by professionals, and it’s impact on young child neurodevelopment and functioning is under-identified and underestimated across child- and family-serving systems. Training in Early Childhood Trauma prepares professionals to recognize, screen and refer children 0-6 with exposure to ACEs to effective evidence-based intervention (Child-Parent Psychotherapy or CPP).
Supporting Young Children who have experienced Sexual Abuse
Mental health professionals working with young children and their caregivers are often intervening as part of a team of providers serving a family. Training in CPP Supportive Interventions will equip providers to intervene with families in a manner consistent with the premises and practices of CPP. Learn how to hold the trauma framework with the “triangle of explanation.” Help caregivers understand the meaning of their child’s behavior and engage in regulated, attuned interactions. Share in the powerful way that CPP can change a family’s life.

“I wanted to say how much I enjoyed hearing Dr. Megan Wilson present and how rich with knowledge and examples I found her to be. I have
been working in this field for a long time and it’s very exciting when I can listen to someone who has new and helpful ideas and

“You do an amazing job. I feel fortunate to have this center in New Hampshire.”
